Underwater

A whale (or something) swimming through polluted water. Been thinking about doing some underwater stuff...just testing out the waters...hehe.

New Design

Gone one year since I started this blog, so thought it was time to do something with the design. So how can I conclude this year...well when I got the wacom tablet my style kind of changed, more color and harder brushes and less grayscale soft brushing. When I look back at the stuff I did with the mouse, I must say I was going somewhere with that style, and then it felt like I had to start all over again with the tablet. The tablet is better for doing fast stuff, and that's probably the road ahead...and some more 3D paintover stuff.

Princess

Just playing around with photoshop, experimenting with colors and blending modes. Did not care to work on the princess or if I can call it that. The point is not to get hung up on details...perfection is not a good partner in learning arts.

Bubble

Slightly inspired of the movie "The Fountain". Seen it over 10 times...just dig it!!

Meditating in the Sunset

the sunset is rendered in Vue PLE (free version of vue), the sea is created in photoshop (by mirroring the sky and using a ripple filter)...and the dude and the cliff is painted. This is the first painting since the previous posted here. Been busy, moving and stuff (to Malta). Will paint a bit more frequently now...

Bad to the bone

Yup here's a new one. Decided not to continue with the number painting thingie...felt like I had to have a progression...instead I will just dump stuff here...sketches etc.

I will get into more matte paintings now, so free stock photos are good. I have a Canon SLR too, but have not taken any photos for awhile, it's maybe time to shoot some new landscapes.

Twelfth Painting

The previous one was so scary that I had to do one more to get back in harmony. Speedpainting, still with mouse, without reference.

Eleventh Painting

I ordered a wacom Intuos3 A5 tablet today!! Got exited, so did a speedpainting with a mouse while waiting for the tablet.

Tenth Painting

Similar to a previous painting, but I like those celestial ones. Moon and tree is rendered in Terragen2, the rest is done in photoshop.

New PC

I have bought a new pc, a core2duo e6600 with 2gb ram...wow!  My old pc (a laptop) was struggling with high res photoshop images/paintings, now everything is instantanously. Heaven! And rendering in blender is fast, it is multithreaded and uses both cores. And also the sculpt mode in blender works like charm now, so now I can start beeing creative again. Next investment is a wacom tablet, but first I have to get a job.
